Precedents in climate litigation are being set somewhere in the world almost every other day. What liability could Kiwi directors face as regulators and activist stakeholders increasingly seek legal leverage over climate disclosures and action?

Chapter Zero NZ and Dentons hosted an event on 11 August to discuss this issue. Our guest speakers were Hayden Wilson MInstD, Linda Clark MInstD, Anne Urlwin CFInstD and Cecilia Tarrant CMInstD.

The discussion covered director behaviour, governnace of climate risk, climate reporting, greenwashing vs greenhushing, the views of instituional investors, and creating competitive advantage through your comapnies response to the climate emergency.

Listen to this audio to understand more about climate risks, regulation, reporting and what you can do as a director to reduce the risk of litigation, and win the trust of stakeholders in respect of climate-related risks.
