The External Reporting Board's Exposure Drafts of Climate Standards is a step closer to mandatory climate reporting for some New Zealand entities from 1 January 2023. They will apply to listed entities and some financial service businesses and will require them to make mandatory climate disclosures. It is also likely that many more organisations will follow the guidance to meet the expectations of regulators, customers, employees or supply chain partners who want information on an organisation's climate impact. We don’t have time to take a ‘wait and see’ approach, so we’ve developed a ‘starter for 10’ talk book to help you understand the proposals and get ready for what climate-related disclosures will mean for your organisation.
